Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The room, although small and more traditional in style, was well-decorated, clean, and suited my 3-night stay perfectly. The highlight was the wonderfully comfortable extra-large double bed with the softest sheets I've ever slept in. The service was lovely and friendly, though there seemed to be a mix-up with the facilities information provided initially. The location, just off the motorway in a charming small town with local amenities nearby, was handled superbly. The dining experience, while a bit slow in service, ended on a positive note with complimentary breakfast due to delayed and slightly disappointing dishes. The facilities were adequate, though nothing exceptional.
I had a lovely stay at the hotel. The room was excellent, with spacious and comfy beds. The dog-friendly areas inside the hotel made us feel relaxed, and Flynn enjoyed it too. However, being given a room at the top of the building with no lift was a bit inconvenient. The room decor was very dated, reminiscent of my nan's old house from the '70s.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were okay for our needs, but not ideal for those with high dependency on wheelchair accessibility due to some obstacles along the corridor. The bathroom was lovely with a high ceiling and a bath, although the shower was weak. The rooms were not in the main hotel, a bit tatty, and required an additional fee of £20 for dogs which felt excessive.
The hotel offers a mix of positives like spacious rooms with ample tea, coffee, decaf, and hot choc, which was ideal for a group of friends, but slightly dark. The service had a mix of errors initially but turned out to be top-notch, attentive, and very friendly. The location is a gem, perfect for exploring Moffat or a pitstop on a journey, though some noise from public facilities. The dining, though slightly overpriced, offered a homey breakfast experience. The overall value for money was decent.
